For clients: filing a new trademark

Choose New filing to ask your firm to file a trademark for you. Give the name to register, a logo if there is one, what it is used for (choose Suggest classes for help with the classes), who applies and whether you use it already. Send it, and the page lists the documents your firm needs; send them under Documents.

You see each step: request sent, being prepared, filed with its application number. Once it is filed, the mark appears with your other marks and you follow it from there. You can withdraw a request until your firm starts on it.

Sending the documents

Each document your firm needs is listed on the filing by its short name, such as "PAN" or "Signed TM-48". In the app, tap the name to read exactly what is needed, then tap Upload and choose Take a photo or Choose a file (a PDF or picture). It reaches your firm with the right name, and the row changes to Sent. On the web portal, the same list has Send a file beside each document.

Once your trademark is filed, you can rate your firm on the same filing.
